Infants and Children
Infants (age of twelve months and younger) travel free of charge on the lap and children from one year and up require a booked seat.
Baggage
Local travelers are entitled to one standard suitcase and one carry-on. International travelers are entitled to two standard suitcases and one carry-on. A charge of R50.00 can be made for any extra or non-standard luggage on the basis of making contact with our call centre. Margate Coach reserves the right to refuse any non standard luggage that is not able to be transported.

Note that Margate Coach / Margate Mini Coach will not be held responsible for lost or damaged luggage, each passenger should ensure they are adequately insured.
Luggage must be clearly marked.
Margate Coach / Margate Mini Coach is not liable for fragile or perishable items, items having a special value, such as money, jewelry, precious metals, computers, cellular phones, personal electronic devices, negotiable papers, securities, or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents, or samples, whether or not such baggage was handed over to a member of our staff.
Boarding The Vehicle
Each passenger is expected to board with their issued ticket and ID book/card, no passenger will be allowed to travel should they not have the required documentation.
Passengers are able to request their tickets via our booking website in order to reprint their tickets at home.
Ticket Changes
We understand that travel plans can change, and we aim to assist wherever possible while keeping things fair for everyone.
You have a 1-hour grace period after making a reservation to change your ticket free of charge.
After this period, an admin fee will apply to all changes made outside the 1-hour grace period:
R100 if changed within 12 hours of making the reservation.
Tickets are limited as endorsed and are non-transferable. The unauthorized resale of Margate Coach / Margate Mini Coach tickets is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted.• No more than one rebooking will be allowed per ticket issued. Any increase in the cost/price of the ticket will be for the account of the passenger, payable immediately on making the rebooking.
If a passenger misses the bus, no rebooking or refund will be granted.
No reservations are accepted unless expressly stated otherwise. Tickets are valid ONLY for the same person, schedule, date and time for which purchased.

Refunds
If you cancel 3 days or more prior of departure, a 30% penalty fee applies (you will receive a 70% refund).
If you cancel 48 hours prior of departure, a 50% penalty fee applies (you will receive a 50% refund).
A rebooked ticket cannot be refunded.
All refunds will be handled in-house only by Margate Coach.

Flight Delays & Tight Connections
When booking online it is important to leave at least 90 minutes extra for connection purposes, booking tight connections is at the passenger’s own risk and Margate Coach / Margate Mini Coach cannot be held responsible. To ensure a prompt departure for all passengers, our service departs as scheduled and cannot be delayed for late arrivals, courtesy calls to confirm passenger arrival will no longer be made.
Call us on +27 39 312 1406 with flight check-in time should a delay occur to enable us to see if we can assist with our next available coach. Please note that we are not liable for flight delays and we will only be able to assist as best we can on the day. A re-booking fee of R50.00 per ticket will be charged for changes.
Smoking, Drinking, Eating & Use Of Drugs
Smoking, drinking, Eating and the use of drugs are strictly prohibited in our vehicles. Failure to comply with the policy will have you instructed to disembark immediately or at the nearest stop.
Passenger Late Arrival
Passengers are required to be at the departure point 15 minutes before the departure time shown on the ticket. Any seat not filled within 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, may be offered for sale to standby passengers.
Should you fail to check-in within the allocated time prior to scheduled departure or board at the stipulated time, you will be regarded as a no-show and will forfeit your seat as well as the fare that is allocated to that leg of your reservation. A no-show is not entitled to a refund for the value of the service missed.
